OK Just got done watching a Pirates Cubs double header. First game Pirates were winning 4-0, and had to take it the 9th inning, down 5-4, Rob Macoviak had a beautiful day. His wife Jennifer gave birth to their son, Garret McCoviak early in the morning. Rob played the game with his Hospital bracelet on. So down 5-4 in the 9th, Rob hits a game winning Grand Slam.
SWEET!
2nd game, Pirates winning 1-0, end up down 4-2. Bottom of the 9th inning, Rob hits a 2 run game tying Home Run. EXTRA INNINGS! Top of the 10th, Bucs are able to survive a scare. 2 the bottom of the 10th. Craig Wilson, who was walked in the first game to set up the game winning Grand Slam, hits a solo homer to win the 2nd game.
FUCKING SWEET!

Fucking SWEET!!!!!
Took off early today, left work at 11:30am. Shopped for a few food stuff, and came home washed the car. Roswell snuck out sometime while I was babying THE ORB. Now he is hiding under the porch. Stupid Dumb ASS!! Tried to get him out, but he kept playing games under the porch, so I left him there. He will come in tomorrow morning for sure.
Right now listening to Live Ozrics, 15-05-1992, recorded at the Reading, UK fest. Awesome stuff. When it comes to spontaneous live jams, these guys blow PHISH out of water, heh heh, I just made a funny!

I have been in a Java class all week (Server Side Java). Learning alot, and the instructor is pretty good at what he does. Put it's like putting a whole semeters worth of information in my head in 5 days. Still fun stuff.
Got to talk to the hot school teacher that lives down the street, she was parking at the same time as me. She seemed a little peeved, I am thinking because there was no place to park in front of her house. She had to park behind me. We said hi, but it seemed like she was in no mood to talk.
It's funny, when I first saw her driving her little red jetta, she looked like she was 17. Had her hair pulled back, jamming some rap/r&b. But when I saw her yesterday, she had her hair down, and looked more her age (I am thinking around 32-34). Gonna have to get to know her :)

Yes it's been a while. Saw two great shows:
A Perfect Circle.(Review).Went to see A Perfect Circle last night, great show. Was supposed to go with my little bro, but he bailed on me at the last moment. Tried to find someone else to go, but at the last moment couldn't find anyone. Left the house at 5:15 and headed down to the Hummelstown G-Man for some food and a few beers. Saw a few people there I was sure I would see at the show later (I did see them later).
Got to the arena parking lot at 7:15, with the show starting at 8:00pm. Had my trusty wooden bowl with me, I hadn't smoked any pot since before New Years and I wanted to be in a special place for this show.
First thing I noticed, ALOT of young people attending this show all decked out. Lots of security, cops on horses, and security patrolling the lot. On the way into the Giant Center a sign stating what was not allowed at the show, standard fare:
NO CAMERAS, VIDEO RECORDERS, NO SMOKING (Well yeah I knew that but still had my bowl in my pocket.).
But also on the sign was:
KNIFE CHAINS LONGER THAN 12", SPIKED COLLARS, MOSHING, BODY SURFING.
To enforce the sign a man on a bull horn instructing us on what doors to use, and what the sign had said.
When it's my turn to get checked by security he checks my pockets and asks if there is any thing in my pockets, I say "My keys and Inhalers". He instructed me to put them on top of the garbage can next to me. DOH!! So without flinching or even hesitating I I pull my keys, lighter, inhaler and BOWL out, put them on top of the can. He pats me down and asks me to take out my wallet and open it. While he is looking at my wallet I palm my bowl while still looking straight ahead. He gives me the ok and I grab the rest of my stuff and move on. Whew. They didn't even notice it. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A BOX CUTTER!! Not long after I got inside a dude standing behind me came up and asked for a high five for the way I snuck the bowl in.
Grabbed a Lager and headed to my seats, nice location near the stage on the left side. There were more people on this side than the other, but most people were on the floor. I recognized the music coming from the PA, it was NIN. Afterwards another tune I recognized, but it took me a few moments to place it: MASSIVE ATTACK!! Massive Attack
The opening act was Burning Brides, a guy on guitar, a chick on bass, and a drummer. Not too bad, but just didn't seem to get the crowd going. During the break before APC came on, more music, but not what I was expecting. You had the occasional girl flashing her breasts, but none of them flashed our side, they would start off flashing the right side, but their boyfriends couldn't keep them up long enough to flash our side, bummer :) Well it wasn't until as the band was making their way on stage that I heard it: A FRIPP SOUNDSCAPE (Fripp loves TOOL and they love Fripp). Then the band hits the stage.
The curtain drops and the show begins. APC is a project/band featuring James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Jeordie White, Josh Freese (The Vandals), Billy Howerdel (Guns'n'Roses, Melvins), and Maynard James Keenan (TOOL!). You could see everyone, but Maynard. He was hiding behind a white circle(See pictures) that was on a riser on stage. Using strobe effects, and a digital video delay, you could see his silhouette dancing behind the screen. It was a pretty wild effect, but kept you from seeing him. It stayed up for the first song, but quickly disappeared. Most of APCs songs are brooding, soulful, and filled with angst, which appeals to the young crowd that was there.
Although Maynard is the lead singer, he downplayed the front man and left that for the other guys in the band. Maynard, like Fripp, kept himself in low light, barely facing the crowd, so you never got a good look at him. But that's ok, he was in his special place that allowed him to punch out the lyrics, and the emotions that he was feeling and the music was delivering. My personal favorite from the night was "The Outsider", plus "The Nurse Who Loved Me" was pretty cool (Who doesn't dig a bit of Nurse Love :) )
At one point in the show he asks the crowd to chant SHIT FUCK. We did that a few times and he mentioned that he would get back to us to see how those two words affected our psyche. A few songs later he asks us to chant again, SHIT FUCK!. Maynard then spoke about Janet Jackson's nipple, and how sure he was that we all had nipples. He then spoke about how they came back from tour to California and had the Terminator for Governor. He also spoke about voter apathy and how that leads to administrations like the current one, and how we need to have our voice heard (He also kicked props to Howard Stern) so he encouraged us to vote.
I wish I had more pictures of the stage, but with the camera ban, not too much available on the internet. One complaint is that the set was short, about an hour and twenty minutes. But I must commend the new entrance/exit to the arena. It only took 30 seconds to get out on the highway, I was home in 15 minutes. Home early enough that I was able to watch 24 which was taping while I was at the show.

Plus got to see Bowie last Thursday, great fucking show, can't believe he played "I'm Affraid Of Americans" considering the political climate these days.
I am actually typing this out on my porch. My wireless internet works even out here SWEET!
