Another weekend has come and passed. Saw some great music Saturday at Dragonfly. The band Galactic put on a great evening of music. They have San Francisco based singer Latrice Barnett backing them on this tour. She has a wonderfully powerfull voice that added a nice touch to the show. And she was pretty hot. I ended up hanging out in front of the stage with two hotties, Heather, and Megan. Heather said "Your THE ORB". I was suprised she knew that, she mentioned she has seen my and my car at ABC :)

Sunday had brunch at Bill and Terry's. I brought the bacon. Nancy made some delicious spinache balls, there was lots of good food and beer.

This weekend is the annual Millennium Music Conference It's a showcase for not only local talent, but bands from all over North America. It is a chance to see some music that you normally don't get to see. Last night I was at DragonFly. Dragonfly is a great place to see local and national acts. I was able to see some peeps that I haven't seen in a while. Dragonfly was host to some great music:

Upon arriving at the venue I found that they were running behind, and had to wait outside with some of the performers, one of which was the drummer from Duenow, more on her later :) I get inside and see a table with CDs, and email lists. So I pick up two from Bellflur, and one from Duenow. There was no one taking money or any signs for price so I assumed they were free.

Crash Delicate - A band from Toronto that sounded similar to their Canadian counterparts, The Tragically Hip, were first up and was an unscheduled act. The started the evening off on a right note.

Duenow A duet from Chicago featuring a guitarist/mini harmonica and his wife who played a pretty mean drum, were second up. The drummer was dressed in lingerie, had stockings with garter belts, high stiletto heels, had her boobies taped and pushed up, YUMMY! I mean she was way hot. After the set she stuck around to see the other bands. The drummer mentioned they had CDs for 10 bucks, well not for me :)

Bellflur were up next. They were one of the bands that I had wanted to see. They had a RadioHead sound/feel to them and were amazing. The guitarist mentioned they had cds up front free for the taking :) So I took two more. I ended up handing out 3 of them to peeps in the crowd who hadn't seen the band.

Next up was The Upwelling. A brooding vocalist/guitarist that was not bad, but seemed full of himself. One thing I noticed is that the bands that came from NY,Chicago, and Toronto all had a small following that traveled with them.

Next up was Quagmire Swim Team. Always an enjoyable set. It was during this set that I met a hot young lass named Kendra, but I couldn't seem to warm her up. She was worried about getting up in the morning for class. She ended up leaving before Quagmire's set was over. I ended up hanging out with another little hottie named Mary Joe. She is one of the regular Quagmire babes. She mentioned that she was probably coming back on Saturday to see Galactic. I think I might do the same :)

Last band up was Concentric . An electronica based band that melded blips, bass, drums and guitar. It was very danceable and everyone was having a great time. I ended up buying one of their cds for 10 bucks. All in all it was a fun time.

Had my final class in WebSphere today. It was a 10 day class crammed into 4 days. The instructor was way out there, but still had a lot of knowledge to pass on. Come to think of it he might have just been brushing the surface, passing on some nuggets to us, hoping to get us to hire him as a consultant. Damn Canadian :)

Gave Michelle here cake tonight and she loved it :). Everyone who tried a piece loved it. I just might have to start baking on my days off, and selling the cakes/pies at ABC happy hour.

Been in training all week. Websphere for the Z/OS(on MVS). Although I have limited experience in MVS-Z/OS, I am a Websphere Expert on Windows/Linux/AIX. So hopefully this will help me understand the MVS side. But the teacher is so fucking MANIC!!!!! He is constantly bouncing off the walls. The first day we started class at 8:30 and didn't take our first break until 12:00pm. Mind you we are trying to cram 10 days of material into 4 days, but lord he must be a robot or packing a stadium buddy. Tuesday we had a few more breaks, but didn't get out of class until 5:30pm. Today was not so bad, we were done by 4:00pm.

Tonight I am baking a Chocolate Truffle cake for Michelle B. My first time at attempting something like this, hopefully it will be cool.

My favorite show of all time is back for a 2nd season

The Simple Life 2: Road Trip

SWEET.

Well another weekend came and went. Friday was a retirement party for Jerry, friend of Dean/Susan. I supplied my bookshelf stereo for music. It was fun, but I didn't get too high. Had that planned for Saturday.

Saturday was the first annual Harrisburg Brewfest, held downtown on Locust Street, outside of McGrath's pub (Excellent place for lunch/dinner, great selection of beer).

There was about 31 breweries there with great selection of beers. I had lots of IPA's, my favorite style, and some hefes. The event went from 4-9pm, but most vendors ran out of beer by 7:30pm. They had sold all 3000 tickets, and at times it was quite crowded in the main area. They had used a parking lot for the bands (Quagmire rocked as usual) and some of the vendors, so that area was not so packed.

After the brewfest was over, I went to ABC and hung out with Sherry for a little bit, damn she's hot.

Definitely it was a fun weekend. Probably not going to be as crazy this weekend.

Had a wonderfull weekend. Blew an opportunity to hang out with Sherry on Friday. Came home from happy hour and fell asleep until 12:44am. DOH!

Woke up early Saturday and did some lawn work. Chopped down most of the bush in front of the house. It was encroaching on the neighbors yard. Washed the car and made a road trip to Selinsgove Brewery.

It was like a ABC mugger meeting there. Dan/Amy, David/Alicia, Bill/Terry, myself and another mugger (Kahn). Pretty cool. Had some nice hoppy beer, "HOPPY MONK". It was a nice hoppy belgian style pale ale. Got a growler that killed the last bit. :)

Didn't do much Sunday, but I finally beat
Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes
Awesome game. Orignaly a Play Station game, but redone with lots of enhanced gameplay and graphics for the GameCube. Great storry and lots of Cut Scenes/Videos. It plays out like a movie. At one critical point in the game I decided to save the girl, and ended up losing the ability to get the Stealth Armor at the end of the game. I am just too romantic I guess. If I had given into a torture scene early in the game, the girl would have died at the end, and I would have gotten a stealth armor similar to what "Predator" wore in the movies. But that's what I have the Game Shark for. I saved the girl, and I still get the stealth armor :)

Not at Bonnaroo this year, bummer. Couldn't afford it since I bought the house. I have to get some electrical work done, and it is going to cost me $2400 approximately. I did buy a ticket, but sold it on E-Bay.

Having lunch with Sherry today, WOOHOO! Maybe I can talk her into a road trip to Baltimore this weekend.

Well I tied a good one on Friday. I went to ABC with the full intention of only staying for one beer. Well that never happened. I ended up drinking about 5 beers, and had numerous shots of tequila and Jaeger. Mr. Weswee was fucked up last night. I passed out at the bar and even fell off the barstool.

I was able to get my top up and almost snuck out, but passed out behind the wheel. Thankfully Michelle(Bless her soul) did not let me drive home. She gave me a ride home and I puked in her van. The one time I get Michelle to my house and I am too drunk to do anything. DOH!

Well I did make dinner for her earlier in the day. But I still owe her big time.

Watching a Japanese horror flick called Tomie: Rebirth. Way strange ghost story.

My EAT STATIC CDs came yesterday!!! I was just getting ready to contact World Pay to find out what was up. I ordered them back in April, and hadn't heard anything since. I tried sending an email to the website but it bounced back as an invalid email address. I thought I might have lost my money. Yesterday I was going to post a message on their bulletin board, since I noticed there was recent activity there. But when I got home, I was happily surprised to see them in my mailbox. SWEEET!!

Tuesday night and no 24 until January 2005 :( Well at least this way it will run from beginning to end without interruption. :)

Memorial Day weekend has come and gone. Went to the Arts Fest on Saturday, and what a nice day it was; Sunny, warm, and a nice breeze by the river. Did a lot of walking around enjoying the art. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to buy much. I was almost tempted in buying some food from the Greek food booth by the main stage. But I did good, buying a fruit bowl instead. It was pretty tasty with Watermellon, honeydew, cantelope, pineapple, and orange slices.

Did so much walking that I just layed around the house on Sunday watching all three races (F1, Indy, and Nextel). Should have gone out Downtown though, considering how lousy it was on Monday. Figures.
