Hanging at ABC Sunday evening, sipping on some Heffe :) Had a fun weekend:
Friday night hung out with my little bro at his crib along with some of his buds. Some young dude there had the nerve to think he knows more about computers than me. GET REAL.
Saturday went to a picnic in a "Park" adjacent to the Oyster Mill havd been there before for a Steeler's fan club picnic. Nice place. Good food, and got to hang out with Mugger Mary. She is a trip.
I left the picnic around 10:30 and headed to ABC. Went to McGrath's w/Melissa and some of the other ABC peeps. Didn't get home until 2:30am. : O

OK so the new kitty is trying to fit in, he and Roswell are still testing the waters. I get home from work on Monday and can't find the new kitty. I can hear him, but can't see him. Well the dumb ass got his self stuck between the kitchen and dining room walls. When they previous owners remodeled the kitchen they put in an Iron stove with a brick wall. This included a firewall separating it from the dining room wall. But since there was a radiator that was walled up, they left a hole the size of a very large mail slot.
So the kitty decides to climb inside and gets himself stuck inside. So I am thinking I will give him over night to figure it out. I get up in the morning and he is still inside. I start to cut through the wall on the dining room side and realize that I have to cut through plaster before I can get to the drywall the cat is stuck behind. I figure go to work, he will get out.
I come home and he is still stuck there. So I blast through some of the plaster and see that to get to the drywall I need to go through another wall as well. DAMN!.
I try to reach him through the slot in the wall in the kitchen and my arms are not long enough. I put out a open can of tuna hoping to lure him out and sure enough it works. SO HE CAN FIGURE IT OUT NOW AFTER I DESTROY PART OF MY DINING ROOM WALL.
DUMB ASS.

Sunday night, the weekend is over :( But that's ok I have downloaded a few more Ozric shows. So far I have May 7,2004, 06-Jul-2004, 08-Jul-2004(Philly show I saw), 09-Jul-2004(All good music festival), 10-Jul-2004(Orange Peel, Ashville, NC. So far the best). So I think I have at least 20 different Ozric shows dating from 1984-2004 :) Pretty fucking sweet huh!
Last night I watched a silly movie, "The Butterfly Effect". It only cost $14.00 after the coupon. Aston Kuchner is not the greatest actor, and the premise was kind of interesting, but it was really contrived. OH WELL! Spent most of the weekend listening to live OZRICS :) Many thanks to Indra for making his site available.
Less than two weeks to go for my next Ozrics gig :)

Having a wonderful weekend so far. Last night I hung out a McGrath's with Brooke, Amy, Megan and Michelle. Michelle looked wonderful as usual. Megan and Brooke were recently fired from ABC. Brooke was wearing a home made anti ABC shirt. It was a white wife beater with "Don't trust ABC" the front, and a drawing of a Knife sticking in her back, with some blood, on the back. You have to know Brooke to understand. Megan showed up and was shocked to find out that she was fired too. I mean I had to tell her she was fired? What the fuck is that?
Anyway went to Herbies for dinner tonight, along with Pat/Alan, Basha/Doug. Our waitress was real cute, and I think she kind of dug me :). Ate more than I should have, but it was so delicious. Afterwards we went to John and connie's house, which was literally right down the street, to have a beer. It was their son's High School graduation party. Although there was lot's of food, I was in no mood for more. Got a little ego boost. There was some high school hoochies that were checking me out, a few of them walked by and said "He's cute" :)
Came home and logged on to my fave site to see if the Ozric show that I saw in Philly last week was up for download....IT WAS :)

Been a pretty busy week at work, Monday I had to run around fixing our productions servers that had been rebooted after an automatic upgrade. Problem was that when you reboot a windows server, you normally have to Physically log the machine on to get the proper services running. Also the upgrade screwed up my startup scripts. I had to edit them so that they would work the next time it was rebooted. Also I put in a patch that would automatically log the server on when rebooted.
The last two days I have been upgrading a few workstations, and trying to fix an intermittent problem with one of my web servers. Problem with intermittent "outages" is that they are hard to debug. If the same action doesn't always cause the problem, how can you figure it out.
Tonight I am heading out to McGrath's to have a few cold ones. Gonna hang out with Brooke, maybe Amy and Megan.
Backtracking:
07/10/2004. Sold my tickets to Dave Matthews to someone on Ebay. Made about 50 bucks on the deal, sweet. Instead of the show I went to Allen/Pat's party. Had a pretty good time there, drinking all kinds of micro brew. Mugger Hugh showed up in drag and surprised the shit out of a lot of folks, aside from being very funny looking.

Saw Ozric Tentacles last night at North By North West(NXNW). It's a small restaurant with a stage most suited for Jazz Bands. NXNW is located on Germantown AVE in the Cherry Hill section of Philadelphia. Had a bit of trouble locating it because MapQuest said to turn right on Germantown Pike when I should have turned left. So I ended up arriving 40 minutes later than I would have. No real biggie. The place was spacious for the crowd that was there. Suprisingly there was more women at this show than previous Ozric gigs that I have been too. The service could have been better, but I think the staff was caught off guard by the size of the crowd. I was sitting at a table next to two guys who brought their recording rigs. It took us awhile to get some table service, and get our food to us. But at least the waitress was still very pleasant considering how many tables she had to work. She kind of reminded me of Jessica Alba :). Thankfully they had Hop Devil on tap, and that's what I had.
The show got started around 9:45ish, and from the start the band was ON!! The following is the set list from the show:
Intro (ashlandi bol + vita voom)
Jurassic Shift
Chewier
O-i
The Domes Of G'Bal
Synth Jam
Ta Khut
White Rhino Tea
Pyramidion
Celtic Jam
Plasmoid
Tidal Convergence
Oakum
Sploosh!
The Throbbe
If I were to pick the best of the show it would have to be OAKUM/Synth Jam/Celtic Jam. No low points other than the band blowing a circuit breaker during SPLOOSH!! It took a few minutes to get them going again, but they took it in stride. The band was able to continue after a five minute interruption, but was only able to play one encore. Afterwards Brandi, the young woman who has been arranging this tour, was kind enough to hand me the set list from the stage :)
I will have some pics posted to my webpage soon, so check back.

Well have my Dave Matthews tix for this Saturday on E-Bay. Have only 2 bids so far, but had lots of people trying to contact me by email. Still have a day and a half for the auction, so maybe I will get more bids.
Have Thursday off for the cable dude, my box died on me and haven't been able to watch G4-TechTV or any Pirates games for that matter :( Bucos have been on a roll, won ten in a row, and 11 of their last 12 SCHWEET.
Thursday night I am off to North By North West in Norristown to see the Ozrics. WOOHOO!!
Will post a review on Friday evening.

4th of July weekend Had Friday and Monday off, so it was a looongg weekend. Friday hit happy hour and saw Danimal/Rachel. Danimal mentioned that Troeg's had Mad Elf on tap at the brewery.
Came home on Friday and watched the movie Monster staring Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci. Very disturbing tale of Aileen Woumos, convicted of murdering 6 men while working as a prostitute. She was executed in 2002, under the order of JEB BUSH!! FUCKER!!. Aileen claimed self defense, fending off violent attacks. Kind of hard to believe, considering she didn't report the incidents. But who am I to judge. No one has caught me yet :)
Saturday I went downtown to have a few brews at McGrath's pub, and then went to see Fountains of Wayne at Music Fest. Cool show, but a tad short. Went back to McGrath's to have a few more beers and them came home to find out that my cable box died. No TV so I ended up crashing out.
Sunday went to my parents house for a picnic. Had lots of good food, and beer. Blew up lots of fireworks and two half sticks. Had an "Intellectual" discussion with a hoochie who was convinced that the moon is always visible everywhere. I tried to explain that when we can see it, people in Australia/China can't. She just didn't get it. Well by this time it was already dawn, and we were all pretty high.
She was so adamant about it she even sent a text message to a friend later that morning trying to prove her point, it didn't.
Trying to sell my DMB tickets on E-Bay. Looks like I might make some bucks on this one :)

Saw Spiderman on Thursday, and it was fucking AWESOME, Sherry I mean. She looked great. But anyway the movie was the BEST SUPER HERO MOVIE EVER....!!!! Alfred Molina was fantastic as Doc Oc. He was the most interesting, intelligent villain and had you actually feeling sorry for him.
There was a lot of character development in Peter Parker. There is a hilarious scene where Peter is sent to a social event by J. Jonah Jameson to get pictures of his son (his son may play an important part in the 3rd.). Plus Peter's buddy Harry Osbourne still has his "Passion" to see Spiderman dead.
Don't want to reveal too much if you haven't seen it yet, but please go out and do so. It will help my Marvel Stock go up in value (Bought it 3 years ago at $6.00, it's at $19.00 today :) )
I guess the reason I like Spiderman so much is that I can relate to him. I have always been the nerdy geek that Peter is/was, never having any luck with the women, but not like I don't keep trying.
Did I mention how hot Sherry looked :)
